Founded in 2008 by composers André Brégégère and Inés Thiebaut, Dr.Faustus is an organization dedicated to the promotion of new, creative music, providing opportunities for emerging composers and performers through the commission of original works and performances in New York City. Since its creation, Dr. Faustus has commissioned over half a dozen works from up-and-coming composers, and fostered performances of the highest quality in collaboration with outstanding New York City-based contemporary music ensembles. www.drfaustus.org
Inés's most frequent collaborator is poet, performer, artist Molly Bain Frounfelter, author of "All That is Ours", for female voice and chamber ensemble, "Dude, What the Hell are you saying", for female actor and media, "Forget Nothing and Forgive me Anyway", for narrator and violin and the one act opera "Stories of sugar", still in progress. Inés has also collaborated with several other artists, including choreographers Mariana García Ramos and Anna Mazo, actress Kim Katzberg, film directors Helena Mayorga and Hyunso Moon and theater director Kit Mckay.

The Contemporary Music Ensemble directed by Whitney George performed two pieces from CUNY graduate composers, Angelica Negrón and myself. My piece Nyx, for mix ensemble and percussion was performed as part of the themed concert "Pollution Noise in Concert Music and how the urban environmental sounds of New York inspire orchestrational choices of composers today". Varese's Integrales and Octandre completed the program.

Ensembles included conTEMPO (Conservatory of Music of Brooklyn College), Nota Bene (Aaron Copland School of Music, Queens College), CME (CUNY Graduate Center), plus other CUNY performers and composers, faculty and students alike. The CME premiered my chamber piece Nyx.
